Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
I have a male friend who was sent papers to appear in court for a child support hearing. He and the female came to a verbal agreement that he would pay $200 a month for support. Not only does he pay what was agreed, but his child is always at his home with him, supposedly while the mother is at "work". She also just drops him there just because, so he is there majority of the time instead of with the mother. He was really suprised and hurt when he received the support order papers in the mail, because he is a good father who does what he has to do. How can he present this in court to show the judge that he is a good father, or just what advie in general can he receive?

He should get an attorney. He will need to bring receipts, canceled checks, etc. to show what he has paid. He should file for joint custody and have the visitation, etc. set also.
