Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Is my marriage legal? When I got married my marriage license said you had to wait 72 hours before we could get married. We asked for a waiver and I was assuming it was waived when we were issued the marriage license. There was never nothing signed by a judge saying it was waived. When I sent in my marriage license to be recorded, I received it back stamped so I assumed everything was ok.
