Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

I married in May 2010. On 26 Dec, 2010 my wife left with only her car and some clothes. She does have Bi-polar and is being treated for it. She moved to her dad's and wants a divorce. What rights do I have? I had a contract to rent to own the home for 8 months before I put her on it after we married. Now it is time for closing, but I'm not going to with her wanting a divorce.

You do not have to close on the sale. You have been married briefly so only debts and assets incurred during the marriage will need to be divided.

There is no need to close the deal since the marriage is over. If you are going to get a divorce, file for it and get it over with before there are more issues. If you want to try to make a go of it, then that is a different story.
