Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Was married in 1984 got Divorced in 2000 but never had a property settelment. Then in 2002 got remarried to the same spouse well it never worked out so filed in May 2009 was granted divorce a year later in Louisiana here we are going thought the property settelment. Can the courts go back to 1984 are should they only go back to 2000 in the property settelment?
