Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

I am married to woman that has two children from a previous marriage. We are going back to court to change visitation. My question is this: Does my income come into the equation when asking for child support? My wife no longer works. She is a stay at home mom. we are in Louisiana if that makes a difference. Please advise. Thanks

If your wife is liable for child support they will assign an income to her which will be at least minimum wage. Louisiana also allows the person seeking support to include a percentage of a new spouse's disposable income.
