Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

I have been married 8 years I have 3 kids 4,6,& 7 months.. my husband has been physically emotionally and mentally abusive our whole relationship.. this is his second marriage his first one lasted 5 years he has 2 kids from that marriage 12&10.. he has custody of them I basically raise the his first wife also dealt with the same issues. Me and him were together when he got full custody and the way he did it was dirty.. his parents have money and they paid a lot... and he has pulled a gun on me twice and I'm so tired of it.. he says if I leave his parent will help take my kids.. see when I met him he had the kids but they actually lived with his parents for the first few years.. I'm tired of my kids seeing us fight

He brings up my past I did do drugs before been to jail once.. my past isn't good but I'm a great mom. The other thing my house is a mess but I have 5 children plus me and him to pick up after.. how do I get out of this situation? ? Thank you

If you have someone to move in with, then leave and file for divorce. Include in it a temp restraining order and temp custody order.
