i am currently living in va and my 3 kids ages 9,11&13 are living in La..I am planning on filing contempt charges against my ex for not sending my kids during the christmas holiday of 04..my visitation is court order she has pretty much violated the whole court order,,well ,i was told that we would have to go to mediation to try to come to some type of solution,,is it possible for me(ncp)to ask the courts for the cp to pay for every other plane ticket as some type of bargaining tool? yes, i am court order to pay for there plane ticket or go and pick them up in New Orleans,But its like i catch hell every year just to see my kids,,,,,any information is appreciated

I have never heard of a judge ordering that you mediate contempt. Maybe mediating changes in the visitation rules, but not contempt. Contact a lawyer who practices family law in that court and knows the judge's tendencies.
I think making a parent who interferes with the visitation foot part of the bill is reasonable.
