minor name change

i would like to change my sons name he is 5 and has not seen his real father in four years. i live in a differnt state than his father. he also has no legal rights to my child. i am going to be married and would like him to have my husbands last name because he thinks thats his father. he also goes by the name we would like to change it to in school.

I agree with Mr. Casanave. After you marry, file for an Intrafamily adoption and your husband will become for all purposes your son's father. It is easy.
