Does a mother have the right to give custody to whom ever she fwithout it being overturned by the mother's mother ?eels where the child will be safe

Where is the father? If you have custody of your child then you can give custody to another. However, your mother can ask for custody, as can any interested party, and then best interest of the child will determine who gets actual custody.
