Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
The mother signed a form with the state of Louisiana that she did not want to pursue child support. After their divorce, she moved to Texas. The father was supposed to have visitation of the child per the divorce papers. He pays 300/m plus 150/m for insurance. She now does not want the money, but instead wants to take him to court through Texas to pursue child support and will not let him see the child. Is this legal?

Custody and support should be decided in the state with the most contact with the child. If there is a order or judgment from a Louisiana court, that controls and she must return to same court to change provisions. You should file immediately a motion to modify to prevent the move or change visitation, custody and support.
