Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

moving out of state with our children

My ex husband is stationed here in LA and we were divorced here and we have two children. I want to move home back to California with our kids. They would get a better education and have a better life there. We have no family in Louisiana. When my daughter gets out of school at the end of May I would like to move. There Dad is totally against it. What do I have to do to be able to move?

You will have to get either the father's permission or in lieu of that you must convince the court that it is in the best interest of the children. With California going bankrupt and the cost of living so high there, you will have to do a heck of a job convincing the judge.
