Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
Myspace and child custody cases
So if you have a myspace page and your going through a custody battle what should you do? Cancel your page. How can the justice system allow this to be admissable? This is the internet where most of the information when dealing w/a site like this has a lot of phony people out there.

Re: Myspace and child custody cases
Is your criminal record admissible? Are your actions at parties admissible? Is the way you speak to people admissible? Is the fact you got in a fight at a bar admissible? ANYTHING that reflects on your character is admissible when the best interests of children are concerned. What if your spouse had a myspace site and they had naked pictures or writings that spoke about child physical and/or sexual abuse? Would you not want the court to see that?
Re: Myspace and child custody cases
You cannot expect the courts to ignore information that you have broadcast to the general public.
Anyone who ever expects to be in a custody battle, apply for a job, attend college, or to be given money, power or trust should be very careful about using myspace, facebook or how they are ever photographed.
