Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Noncustodial parents rights

What legal rights does my childs father have as far as visitation and claiming her on his taxes without my permission. He is not listed on her birth certificate, there is no legal order granting him visitation or the ability to claim her. He does pay some in child support not his award but some.

Re: Noncustodial parents rights

You stated there was no legal order concerning visitation or his right to claim her on taxes, but mention he pays some support "not his award, but some." I assume that means you obtained an award for support from some place, so he has acknowledged paternity and so have you. You have a moral duty to let him visit. You have no duty to let him take the deduction.
