Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
What are the odds of a judge granting my husband 7and 7 custody of my children ages 6 and 1?

This greatly depends on the judge and the circumstances. Joint custody can be one week and one week unless this is shown to be detrimental to the best interests of the children. This is very difficult on school age children and courts often set joint custody and every other weekend and one day during the week. They may also make up time the noncustodial parent is losing during holidays and summer. The best thing for the children is that the parents put aside their differences and sit down and jointly decide what would allow their children to grow up as happy, healthy and productive as possible. This must include time with both parents as children thrive when allowed quality time with each. A child is a product of both and it takes both to raise successfully.
