Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
Overnight Stays
My husband and I have been separated 4 months, the divorce petition has already been filed. He now has a new girlfriend that he's known about a month. While my children were staying over his place this past weekend, he introduced them to her and had her stay the night, sleeping in the same bed with my 6 year old daughter. My daughter has already been upset by the fact that he dating someone and has been having problems at school, they have requested she see the school counselor. And now she is even more confused and upset - afraid daddy is going to marry the lady and she'll have no daddy, etc. Is this appropriate behavior on the part of my husband and is there a way it can be stopped to not ''harm'' my child anymore?

Re: Overnight Stays
You should file for domiciliary status of your children and in that order, you should have a provision that neither you nor the dad can have someone of the opposite sex spending the night when you have the children.
