Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Hi after the passing of my mother my father ask me to be power of attorney of his affairs. My sister has interfer with this appointment by changing his bank accounts therefore making his bills to not be paid for two months. Is there anything I can do to insure that this does not happen again. My father also has been recently had a stroke to the left side of his brain and in findings he has alzehemier disease. This has been a headache and a hardship on me as well as my father. The bank ask if I can get him declared incompetence where he can't come into the bank and move money again. I talked to some layers and they want 1200 dollars or more to handle this. I was told that I can do it myself and just file the papers at the clerk of court. How?

What you are wanting to do is too important for a do-it-yourself kit to work. It is a very serious matter. If you had a legitimate power of attorney to take care of your father's business and you showed it to the bank, how could your sister do anything with your father's bank account? You can change the accounts if you do have the proper power-of-attorney. If the money in the accounts is worth all this fuss, there is no reason that your father's accounts should not pay the legal fees for the interdiction of your father.
