Re: past due child support

Dear Friend,

Attorney Ben Stevens is right. Try posting your question again, and the next time give us lawyers some more details and information so that we can provide you with a good answer. I will say, however, that if he owes child support and is past due, you have rights to take legal action to collect it from him; and you even have the right to have him pay your attorney fees for doing so. Further, even if you can't afford to take the child to the "drop-off" point so that the father can have his visitation rights; nevertheless, that does not relieve him from his obligation to pay child support. Nevertheless, if the court (judge) has ordered you to delivier the child to that drop-off point, you should take the case back to court and so advise the Court of your present problem or problems so that the Court may alter its prior childsupport and visitation order, if such is warranted. Good luck! Again, I suggest you repost on this web-site, just as you did before; but this time I suggest that you provide a longer and more detailed statement of the facts of your case. Again, good luck!

Sincerely,

Hardy Parkerson, Atty.
