Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Paternal Custody

I have recently received papers for child support; my son's mother has always had problems disciplining him and she herself has acted violent with me while we were together and even when i come to see him, she never meets me. Most recently my son has expressed trying to ''help'' get her ex-boyfriend off of his mom when they were fighting and he's acting out in school. I never had these problems with him when he stays during the summer, either from myself, family members or day care staff. Her step-father even expressed to me that it would be in my son's best interest if i had custody. How strong of a case do i have in gaining custody?

Re: Paternal Custody

How old is your son? His age may help you get custody.
