Personal Property/Expenses and Visitation

Expenses:

1 If I maintain all Medical Insurance, does it adjust Child Support in my favor?

2 When my ex gets a fultime job, am I responsible for day care expenses in any way?

Visitation:

1 I have ''reasonable'' visitation rights, yet she makes it very dificult for me to visit my son. I drive all the way from FL to Baton Rouge and she is always setting the terms for when and where I pick him up, and she changes these terms everytime as well as multiple times with each visit, depending on if she is mad at me or not. Is there anything I can do about this?

2 I have to literally fight and use a few choice words to get her to allow him to visit with me in FL, which has only been once. She says she doesn't know my intentions and doesn't trust me to have him out of state. Does she have any legal grounds for this, esp now that he is 4?

3 If my parents are willing to have him for a weekend and/or bring him to visit me, and I want this- can she stop them from seeing him and/or bringing him to see me? I have seperated parents, both remarried.

All of these answers are according to Louisiana Law:

Support 1. If the non-domiciliary parent pays for health insurance, then that parent is entitled to a credit for those payments.

2. If the domicilary parent needs day-care for the child in order to work, then that expense can be added to the amount of total child support.

Visitation. 1. For 21 years as a lawyer the most unreasonable term I have heard is "reasonable visitation". People from broken relationships are almost never reasonable to or about each other. Go back to court and get a court-ordered visitation schedule with all of the rules spelled out.

2. Make sure this is covered in your new custody order.

3. Louisiana grandparents rights generally derive from the parents' rights.

Advice: Get a family law attorney in the Baton Rouge area and file to get it all amended.
