Power of Attorny

When you give someone Power of Attorney to sign your name in absence, does it expire in a certain amount of time?

The power of attorney itself should contain an expiration date, it could be as short as one day or for as long as one desires.

Not if it doesn't say so. You must revoke the power.

The power expires under its own terms on the date stated in it. If the power is for a specific document, then it expires when the document is signed. If neither of the above apply, then you must specifically revoke the power.
