Problem with Brother in law

Is it possible to keep my brother in law from attending family functions or visiting family home. I no longer live at my parents home but fear that my property remaining there might be trashed or stolen, This person causes confrontations everytime he is around. I assume you are speaking of your sister's husband. Only your parents can stop someone from enterning their premises.
