Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

I am having problems with my lawyer and I would like a new one. Every question I have his answer is "not dealing with that right now" or "don't have the time"...I guess that's what you get when you deal with legalaid. I've met with him twice and got so mad at him I've almost cried. Yesterday was our child support hearing. In 2 weeks I have court for custody of my children. I read over the orders for child support and the answer to his motion for custody and because my lawyer misinformed me and lead me to believe in a different scenario, I signed the it. Well now knowing I didn't have to sign it if it's not exactly what I wanted to go to court for I want a different lawyer and don't want to ask for what I've signed. The papers for modification of custody haven't been filed yet. What should I do? Can I fire that court appointed lawyer and changewhat I want even though I've signed those documents? Please help me!!!!

You are in my jurisdiction so I cannot tell you what to do without pulling the record. Since you said LEGALAID, then you want FREE ADVICE FOR EVERYTHING since you wrote us. You get what you pay for. I bet if I pull the record that your lawyer has done a good job. Call me if you thing I am wrong.
