Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Property

My ex husband has been divorce now 15 years and I have been trying to get him to pay me off of the property. Since the storm, he has been getting checks and wanting my signature, only on the small ones. He recently received a large some of money and I needed his help, he only sent me 1,000.00 and told me he thought he was doing me a favor. Is their is a statue of limitations, or Iam I still beating a dead horse. This is a decree.

Statute of limitations on what? If you have not partitioned the property you need to file a Petition to partition the community. If checks to your ex have been for your property, then you should have gotten 1/2. That's the best I can do with the facts you gave. A bit confusing.
