Hello my question is can my husband get his back child support waived if him and the ex agree to close the case? My husband only pays back child support both of his kids from his ex are in college and are 19 & 20. The ex is getting half of his check every other week. this is killing us we have a 7 month old son that we hav to take care of and bills. I want to know how i can get the paper work for the waiver if it is available thank u

If she is receiving the support directly from him then they can file an agreement with the court to terminate the support. If it is being paid through the state in a garnishment proceeding, then the State would have to agree to terminate. Also, support can be owed through college if the children remain in school full time.
