Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

what rights do i have and what can i do to get custody of my child in Louisiana when i left to gain employment with an agreement with spouse and they changed there agreement when i left for California and we was residents in both states? and now the want to hide from me and are trying to keep me from my child and hiding child from me?

You will need an attorney. If there was an agreement as to custody, it should have been in the form of a judgment and signed by the judge. Any changes would have to be ordered by the Court. Children need both parents and Louisiana custody law looks first to the best interests of the child. If you have a judgment ordering visitation, custody, etc. and the child is being hidden from you, then there may be a contempt proceeding. Seek out and hire an attorney with a Louisiana law license and have them file the appropriate paperwork.
