Rights during legal separation

I would like to know as far as dating someone who is leagally separated what you can and cant do under Louisiana law. I would also like to know if the six month waiting period would also include the time you were separated before the papers for the legal separation were signed.

There has not been "Legal Separation" in Louisiana for many years. A person is either single, divorced or married. Even when separation existed, a separated person was married. All sexual activity between a married person and someone who is not their spouse is adultery.
