Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
Rights during legal separation
I would like to know as far as dating someone who is leagally separated what you can and cant do under Louisiana law. I would also like to know if the six month waiting period would also include the time you were separated before the papers for the legal separation were signed.

Re: Rights during legal separation
There has not been "Legal Separation" in Louisiana for many years. A person is either single, divorced or married. Even when separation existed, a separated person was married. All sexual activity between a married person and someone who is not their spouse is adultery.
