rule to show cause
child support hearing set in march I live in Missouri The hearing in Louisiana. 1. i started payments but got behind and stopped. 2. do I have to go to LA. for the hearing 3. Can I start making payments now and double up to keep from going and work it out with the DA
4. I get the kids for summer and the trip and the cost is not help just to go and get rip a new one. 5. once again i did pay her some money will I still have to pay all

I am confused. If the DA is involved, then the hearing should be with the DA in Missouri under URESA...Uniformed Reciprocal Enforcement of Support Act....some call it UIFSA....Uniformed Interstate Family Support Act.....My experience is that the DA always wants to work it out. However, if you do have a hearing in Louisiana, you need to contact an attorney here and let them represent you in court and make a deal. In Louisiana, as in most places, they would rather have money coming in than put people in jail.
