Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Seeking fixed visitation schedule for out of state mother

My ex-husband and 2 children live in Louisiana and I live in California. We had joint custody b/f I moved to CA one year ago, now he has temporary custody. I am seeking a fixed visitation schedule but he will not agree to any visitation in California b/c I live with my boyfriend. Mediation has not worked in the past. Don't I have the right to visitation with my children in California during holidays and summer? How do I bring this b/f a judge. I'm on a limited income and my ex-husband is very wealthy, in the past he drags things out until I'm completely depleted financially. What should be my next step?

Re: Seeking fixed visitation schedule for out of state mother

Since he and the children live in Louisiana and there was apparently a custody and visitation order in that state, you will have to use those courts for relief. You should contact an attorney in Louisiana and ask about the possibility of getting financial aid from your ex-husband.
