I've just signed Provisional Custody Mandate of my 17 yr son to his grandfather due to behavior problems do I need to have the child support from his biological father stopped

The support is paid on behalf of the child. Not only should the father continue paying his portion, but you should pay the remaining portion-that which was your part of the total support owed. It should be paid to the person providing care for the minor.
