Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

I would like to know how would I go about this situation.

Example: I'm married with one kid and if I were to die my husband said he would ship our kid to his mother and I don't want her to have our child because she is taking care of his brothers kid and I would feel better if my mother would get our kid for my own reasons. How would I go about doing that?

That is almost impossible to answer. The first way you protect your child is get rid of her dad. You could put in your will that you would like your mother to have custody of your child. You could say that should the dad decide to give her up, you prefer your mother, but since he actually told you that already, you should dump him, ask for sole custody and put in your will that your mom should have custody of the child upon your death. BTW, you referring to your child as KID says something.
