Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
I have sole custody of my child who is eight years old. His father lives in Oklahoma where custody was granted. After nealy two years of little to no contact and NO visitation the father has continued to harass me via email and has allowed his girlfriend to do the same. My son is scared to be with his father due to past emoitional discord and instability. What steps can I take to stop the harassment and secure my son?

You should file a restraining order against him where you live and where he lives. If he violates it via email-the case will be prosecuted where the emails originate. You can also file for this order through the suit granting you sole custody.
