Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

My son child support was offset for Social Security retirement benefits - my ex just purchased a third home - why can't I get the child support and the SS if he has the money to buy all these homes??

He also gets a penion from work - partial disablity - he goes to the VA hospital - Social Security - he just got a large inheritances - now has three homes - he has family memebers living with him that get disablity - has stocks and bonds!

I got a judgement for child support one month then he offset it - now I am told I need to pay this back to him - I raise our son for 4 years without him are his help - he took me to court - now my lawyer and his lawyer changed everthing the judge said - even the visition - I have nothing - I live with my mother - in a hurricane damaged home - I had to fire my lawyer because he was screaming at me - said "I don't know what your problem is - why can't you just sign the papers - the is not justice to me - I understand the part about the offset but can they change all the rest of the judgement?

Judgments regarding children can be changed as often as necessary as long as it is in the best interests of the child. This consideration supercedes all others in custody. You certainly should have a good working relationship with your counsel and understand the court's rulings.
