Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

My son while working tempo rly in calif. his wife divorced him and the court gave her 5000 per month alimony. She moved back to Louisiana and went to work .my son is now working in Montana. Does he still have to keep paying her no children involved

He will have to file a proceeding to have the alimony terminate.
