im a stepdad of 2 girls.one is 5 one is 6 .i been stepdad for 4.5 years.wife died a week ago .how much of a chance do i have at getting custody against my wifes mom

There are too many factors for an easy answer. The court's ultimate decision is the "best interest of the child".

The biological father, if he has a relationship with the girls, would have the easiest path.
