temporary custody

In 2005 my x husband was going out of the country to work and with our 6 year old daughter which he had domicile custody in school we did not want to take her out of school so we both signed temporary custody over to his mother. Till this day she does not allow me to visit with her. Me and my x husband had been to court about divorce and custody before the temporary custody was signed to his mother. I had my visitation but since she has had custody she has put me to the side as if I have no rights at all. What can I do to see my daughter, I do not have alot of money I am in school and trying to better myself.

I assume you and your X signed a stipulation and a court order was issued granting the grandmother custody. However, if that is not what happened and all you did was sign an agreement before a Notary and 2 witnesses, then it is a Provisional Custody by Mandate, and is only valid for a maximum of 1 year. You need to file for custody, or in the alternative for specific visitation. Unfortunately, it is going on 3 years since you visited your daughter, so you may find some problem for waiting this long. So, you need to find some money.
