Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
At the time I had my son his father and I were not married so he has my maiden name . Now his father and I are married and we want him to have our last name. How do we go about getting this done?

You do a simple name change, but if he is not on the birth certificate, then you want him on that. If his name is on the certificate, the child should have been given his last name.

#2-For inheritance purposes, you may wish to do an intrafamily adoption just to clean things up.
