Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

travel arrangements for visitation

My husbands has joint custody with his ex and originally the judge was going to order that she provide transportation either for pickup of her son from our home or she meet us halfway between new orleans and baton rouge. Unfortunatelly she has never received her license and the judge could not enforce her to provide transportation because she claims she does not have anyone to drive her. The judge however did order a reduction of csp based on his traveling expenses and that she inform my husband when she received her license and that he has the right to return to court to have that changed upon doing so. We later found out that she has no plan of getting a license and may be driving without one, but we have no proof of that.

Can the judge order that she try to obtain her license in a given amount of time? If so, how likely is a judge to order this?

Re: travel arrangements for visitation

I would discuss this with a lawyer. If she is driving the child without a license, I would consider limiting her access to the child as she is unable to provide reasonable transportation.
