Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Is the truck and furniture belong to me?

I have been with this man for 4 years in Louisiana and then moved to Florida for 1 year. I plan on leaving him. We are not married and to my knowledge both states do not have common law. I have a house that I had purchased 10 years before i met him and it is being rented out now. His name is not on the house. There is a truck that was purchased when we were together but it is in my name. My question is this: Can he get any part of my house since it was mine before we met, and does he have any legal right to the truck that is in my name only and the furniture that was bought with my income tax check but with a joint checking account with my debit card. Please respond. Does he have any rights to what is in my name and vice versa?...Thank you

He is not entitiled to any part of your house since it was yours before you met hime. He does not have a legal right to the truck and furniture.

No, what in your name is yours; and, what is in his name is his.
