underage pregancy

If a 16 yr old girl becomes pregnant by a 17 yr old boy is he legally responsible? Can criminal charges be brought agaist him. Can his parents be hheld responsible?

If the two people are within two years of age there is no crime. He does have a father's responsibility to the child.

I do not see where either young person's parents has a greater legal responsibility than the other's.
