usufruct of home

If my brother died and was married to a lady of 2 years, and had no children together but they owned a house together. She remarried a few months after he died and sold it wouldn't she have to split the profits with my brothers 2 biological children from a previous marriage? They are his heirs right? We live in the state of Louisiana
