Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

No visitation due to behind child support

I am ordered to pay 600.00 a month in child support and currently do not have a job. When the child support order went into effect I did not have a job then either. This all happened 2 years ago and now I have fell about a year behind but will be working soon and my ex knows this and all of my paycheck will go to him. I only have 2 weeks visitation and he is refusing to let me have them because of the child support status. Is this something he can legally do?

Re: No visitation due to behind child support

If he refuses to let you have visitation, rule him into court for contempt and seek to have yourself relieved of your child support obligaiton. I've sucessfully done this for clients in the past.
