Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
Visitation of minor children
My fiancee' was divorced in Alabama. His e-wife resides in Louisianna. In his divorce papers it states that he has visitation of the two minor children for 2 weeks out of the summer. He recentely contacted her for arrangements to pick them up. She told him that he could not get them until he paid her half of the income tax refund that they agreed upon. It stipulates in the divorce papers that he will give her half of the refund if he claims the children.
My question is.
Can she keep him from his visitation of the children if he owes her money for the refund of any unpaid child support?
