Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
my wife has custody of my three kids. we are going thru a divorce and i am sidelined from work from a job injury.she has given custody to 2 of my kids to her parents without my permission.can she legally do this? by the way,she resides in san antonio,tx. and i live in hammond,la. and the twins are in new orleans,about 55 miles away from me.

She cannot give custody of your children to anyone unless it is court ordered. A notarial act granting provisional custody by mandate has to be by both parents or the natural tutor or tutrix and in your case I do not think those apply. It cannot be granted by one who is the domiciliary parent. So, assuming the twins are who you are talking about, file for custody if you really think you can handle them better than the grandparents.
