Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

my wife has diagnosed bi-polar and paranoia. After months of trying to get her doctor to adjust her meds or help with her growing paranoia, with no help. Her appts only last approx. 5-10 min. He only says keep trying and come back later.

Yesterday she had a paranoia episode and left to move in with an ex of 11 years removed. They do have a son together he had been holding over her, but she was maintaining well.

When her mental health got worse, it was more difficult for her to maintain. The doctor also reinstated a med 2 weeks prior that he had to take her off of due to severe agitation and irritability.

I notified the doctor and he was not wanting to contact her because he said she would become paranoid. She already is.

Now it looks as if a divorce is coming. I need to get advice, if possible.

Unless you can prove her unable to care for herself and/or her affairs, she is legally competent and can file legal documents. You don't specify exactly what advice you need. She can file for divorce now and wait to receive final confirmation in six months or she can wait six months then file for divorce.
