Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
My wife and I have been separated for 3 years now and legally separated for over a year and i refiled a petition for legal separation and divorce. I have been in a 3 year relationship and she has had a boyfriend a time or two. She is threatening to never let me see my daughter if i stay with my fiancee while going thriough divorce. She is saying that she is introducing her boyfriend into our daughters life as a father figure and i can not see our have visits with our daughter and she will never be allowed around the woman i want to marry. Can she do this? I am military. I pay for her mortgage, car note, two monthly allotments for extra money, private school for my daughter and anything she calls and asks for. Will a judge tell me i cant bring my daughter to our home because of my fiancee but she can bring her with her boyfriend?

She cannot do that. You need to settle the custody matter along with visitation in court. If you are both in a live-in relationship she will not be able to use that against you. You should have completed the
divorce. We have 6 month divorces in Louisiana unless it was
a covenant marriage. You could
have cured the problem by
marrying your fiance.
