If your child had no children, and all your property was community, the surviving spouse will inherit,then the parents are next in line, and if the parents are deceased, then your collateral heirs, i.e. brothers and sisters will inherit, if they are deceased, then nieces and nephews.

I would suggest that you and your husband consider writing wills if there is anything specific you wish to do. Otherwise the state law of whatever state you are domiciled in at the time of death will control what happens.
