Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
I have been gone over a year, will a legal separation be good enough for me to see other women?

Since 1991 Louisiana has not had anything known as a "legal separation." Go for the divorce. If you have minor children, you have to be separated over 1 year and with no minor children, 6 months. Then you file for divorce on the grounds of physical separation for 6 months or 1 year. And you can see other women even when you are living at home, but you take your chances. Adultery is having sex, not going out on a date. And adultery affects right to alimony, nothing more.
