Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Louisiana
? i agreed to go in 1/2 on a house with my girlfriend i wrote many checks & also shes used my credit card to buy & build the house & for appliances , fixtures etc. we have nothing in writing that half is mine. in the event we dont work out for one reason or another do i have any legal right to the house and contents , based on having the checks which i noted house payment & credit card purchases from i.e. home depot , lowes etc.? thank you in advance for your time.

It is possible that you could receive monies you expended for improvements to the property. However, some could be interpreted as rent. It is best to have everything in writing.
