Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Louisiana

If someone is buying a mobile home from me and we made a verbal agreement that they would give me $2000 now and 2000.00 in 1 month are they entitle to the initial $2000.00 back if they don't want to deal anymore?

No, but you may have a problem proving the contract. You should always get contracts in writing. As they say, "Verbal contracts are not worth the paper they are written on."

While verbal contracts are valid in Louisiana, they are hard to prove.
