Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Louisiana
My credit was ruined by the BP oil spill, I tried to purchase a new car for my senior in school. A family friend put the car in his name. I paid him $1000.00 for doing this and I put $15K down and purchased a maintenance program also an extra $1,700. I also gave $2K for insurance in his name with his insurance company. My daughter had a small and I mean small accident and he went stupid. Demanding it out of his name. He is going to sell it. Can I place a lien against this Camaro for the total amount of 20K which includes the notes at $413.00 a month that I pay! Please help me!!

You certainly can sue him for any monies you feel are owed but the car is in his name.
